Esme House – Art Inn the Square

On the occasion of Esme’s 90th birthday we are delighted to present a selection of work made by one of West Cokers most talented residents.
Esme’s approach to making art comes from a desire to make, to use her hands. The love of materials is always evident from the richly layered embroideries that contain hours of work to the evocative and playful experiments with wax and burning.
This exhibition brings together a selection of work made from the past 20 years alongside an early embroidery that was made at the age of 15.
