DESCRIPTION:These friendly and accessible workshops will take place on Thursday evenings 6:30 – 9pm at OSR Projects in West Coker and are an opportunity to develop your pottery skills and be part of our creative community. \nThe workshops are suitable for all (16+)\, from total beginners to those looking to develop their skills or simply just to try something new. You will have the opportunity to develop a range of hand building\, decorating and finishing techniques as well as use our potters wheel. \nAll materials and firing costs are included. \nDates: 3 Feb\, 10 Feb\, 17 Feb\, 24 Feb\, 3 March\, 10 March 2022\nTime: 6.30 – 9pm\nCost: £100/£150/£200\n£100 Reduced fee for those unemployed\, precariously employed or receiving income support.\n£150 Standard fee for those with a regular and stable income.\n£200 Generous fee for those who can afford some luxuries and would like to contribute to our community project. \nBooking is on a first come first served basis. DESCRIPTION:Common Salt is a performance around a table – a ‘show and tell’. \nIt explores the colonial\, geographical history of England and India taking an expansive and emotional time-travel\, from the first Enclosure Act and the start of the East India Company in the 1600s\, to 21st century narratives of trade\, race and culture. Sue and Sheila activate insights into our shared past\, laying out a ‘home museum’ of objects and stories; of the Great Hedge of India\, of borders\, and collections – all accompanied by original Shruti box laments. \nCommon Salt is a reckoning; the interconnectedness between history and global power\, artefact and trade\, race and memory is hidden in plain sight. \nSATURDAY 1st FEB 2020 – 3pm & 7pm \nWe seat up to 25 people around the table for each performance\, so please book in advance.\nBOOK TICKETS HERE \nor call 07967 756 356/01935 862 201\n£5 / £3 Concessions – Students
